Clay Simpson & Tyler Jury are the owners of Clayton & Crume (makers of handcrafted leather goods, belts and accessories, all proudly produced in Kentucky). Southern Living recently dubbed the duo two of the “50 Most Stylish Southerners.”

EAT & DRINK: Migo in Douglass Loop for some of the best tacos in the city and a low-key, neighborhood ambiance. Proof on Main for an upscale experience and access to the awesome contemporary art museum at the attached 21c Museum Hotel.

SHOP: There’s no shortage of fun shops on Market Street in NuLu. We love poking around Scout and Revelry after a big brunch down the street at Toast on Market.

EXPERIENCE: Bourbon, Bourbon, Bourbon! Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse, Angel’s Envy and Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. are all downtown, among others, and make for a great afternoon activity for the uninitiated.

ATTEND: The St. James Court Art Show is one of the best in the country, and is well worth the trip every October, even if it’s just to ogle the architecture of the St James Court neighborhood.

FAVE THING ABOUT LOUISVILLE: Living in Louisville and owning a business on East Main Street, it’s been amazing to see the constant emergence of quirky, local shops. Not to mention the world-class restaurants and fun neighborhood festivals that celebrate the life and culture of the city. Louisville will always be home.
