Locally owned and operated, HEADLINERS MUSIC HALL is the premier live entertainment venue of Louisville, Kentucky. We bring the best local and national acts to our stage, with fantastic sound and a fun atmosphere. We’ve had the privilege of hosting some amazing rock, metal, acoustic, hip-hop, and alternative bands such as My Morning Jacket, Trampled By Turtles, Neko Case, OK Go, J. Roddy Walston & The Business, Umphrey’s McGee, Old Crow Medicine Show, Kings of Leon, Shovels & Rope, Girl Talk, Ice Cube, Houndmouth, Lindsey Buckingham, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Disclosure, Alt-J, Moon Taxi, Charles Bradley, Tame Impala, Dr. Dog, The Lone Bellow and more!
The music hall where Headliners resides was originally used as a cafeteria for the bottling facility that surrounded it. During prohibition, the building was used as a rehearsal hall for the big bands that played the Seelbach and Brown hotels on the weekends. During this time, the public was allowed to watch the bands practice, and drink “medicinal” bourbon allegedly that was bottled on the property.
The decorative murals that adorn our walls date back to 1939, and were commissioned by the National Distillers Product Corporation. The initials NDPC are visible on some of the murals.
With our old school charm, great acoustics, and amazing bands you would be hard-pressed to find a better music venue in Louisville.
