Holi Mela: Festival of Colors

Louisville Hindi Paathshaala welcomes you to join us to celebrate the 11th Holi Mela - The Festival of Colors. Holi is celebrated across India to signify the end of winter, the onset of spring, victory of good over evil, and simply a day to meet others, play, enjoy, laugh, forgive and forget. Come and enjoy freshly cooked vegetarian food, carnival games, musical and dance performance, culminating in the "play" with colors (gentle application of dry skin-safe color powder - available onsite for sale) with friends and family. A team of volunteers drawn from Louisville's high schools conduct carnival games and lend their support in the organization of the event.
