Introduction to Sedimentary Rocks

Rocks form the bones of our landscape. Be it hills and valleys or plains and mountains, all are made of rock. The Ohio Valley region is underlain by sedimentary rock that started as sand or mud beneath the shallow sea. Open to the public, this volunteer training program explores sedimentary rocks with stories behind their formation. Admission to the program is free but it doesn’t include visiting the Interpretive Center exhibit gallery.
