Downtown Louisville Celebrates Basketball Season

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 9, 2021) – Businesses along Main Street in downtown Louisville will be offering special promotions during the month of March as the college basketball season comes to a spirited conclusion. Part of an effort to bring customer traffic back to the vibrant entertainment corridor along the city’s Whiskey Row, several businesses have collaborated on Main Street Madness programming that tips off on March 18th at noon.

The month-long campaign will include food and drink specials, museum and hotel discounts and free parking along Main Street. Several participating restaurants will offer an official drink, the Old Fashioned Slam Dunk for $5.

Said a promotion organizer Robbie Valentine with the KFC Yum Center, “Covid has impacted nearly every aspect of daily life, and many of our downtown businesses have faced challenges and uncertainties. Downtown Louisville is the heartbeat of the city, and if we work together to support our local businesses, we can bring back the vibrant downtown that we all know and love”.
