Louisville Appoints New Vice President of Convention Development
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 24, 2024) – Louisville Tourism has appointed Jason Sojka as Vice President of Convention Development. He will be filling this leadership role starting on October 28.
Sojka’s responsibilities include managing the convention sales team to achieve annual room night goals, developing and implementing the convention sales and marketing plan, outlining specific sales objectives and priorities for the convention sales staff and establishing sales policies and procedures to maximize Louisville as a convention destination.
He has over two decades of experience within various segments of the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Louisville Tourism, he was Director of Sales for the Ritz-Carlton Dallas as part of the opening team throughout a massive renovation and re-branding while the hotel was still operating. Sojka also worked for Marriott International for several years in various Texas, Nebraska and Iowa markets - driving successful sales strategies and leading sales teams. His tenured background offers a myriad of hotel and hospitality industry experience including catering and event management positions held at various Marriott hotel properties.

Sojka received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from William Penn University.
