Louisville Brings Home Tourism Awards for Second Consecutive Year
Louisville Tourism and KICC honored by leading meetings industry news outlet
Louisville, Ky. (Nov. 8, 2021) – Two Louisville organizations were selected as winners of the hospitality industry’s fifth annual Northstar Stella Awards in the Midwest division including Louisville Tourism for Best Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) or Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) and the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC) for Best Convention Center. KICC received a first-place, gold award and Louisville Tourism took home the bronze in their respective categories.
The Stella Awards are the meeting industry’s highest honor, recognizing hotels, convention centers, conference centers, airlines, cruise lines and DMOs/CVBs that consistently deliver quality service and innovation to meeting and event professionals.

The Stella Awards awarded 260 winners and finalists in 17 categories and six regions worldwide. The Stella Awards celebrate overall excellence, superb food & beverage, professionalism of staff, sustainability initiatives and other critical aspects of the meetings and event experience.
