Louisville Hosts Second Largest Tradeshow in the U.S.

National list ranks conventions by size

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 26, 2020) — The Trade Show News Network (TSNN) released its list for the top trade shows of 2019. Louisville hosts three of the top 20 shows, including the second largest show in the U.S. with the International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE), now known as The Utility Expo.

Although Louisville, Indianapolis and Nashville each hosted seven tradeshows on TSNN’s 2019 list of the Top 250, Louisville was the only city to boast three of the Top 20 tradeshows with ICUEE, GIE+EXPO and MATS. These three Top 20 tradeshows represented an estimated economic impact of almost $60 million for the city.

These notable shows have all committed to Louisville for future years, thus positively impacting the city’s economy again over the next 18 months. The Utility Expo has committed to meet in Louisville every other year through 2029, GIE+EXPO is committed annually through 2025 and MATS is in the process of finalizing a contract through 2026.
