Louisville Tourism Adds Staff and Announces Transition
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 8, 2022) – Melea Runyon has been hired as a Destination Services Manager within Louisville Tourism’s Destination Services department. She joins three other Destination Services Managers responsible for working with booked convention groups in various markets. She was most recently the Senior Events Manager for Churchill. Runyon has also worked for Kentucky Venues in administrative capacity and was promoted to an associate role helping manage the execution of several horse shows. She started her new role with Louisville Tourism on May 31.
Additionally, Rose Caple will transition from her role as the Visitor Center Manager to Tourism Sales Manager with a focus on Niche and Affinity markets to attract more African American and LGBTQ travelers to Louisville. Caple has been with Louisville Tourism since 2011, with most of her time focused within the Louisville Visitors Center at 4th and Jefferson Street as both the manager and a coordinator. Caple will transition to her new role this summer.
