New Louisville Walking Tours Announced

More Ways to Explore Louisville’s Unique Neighborhoods on Foot

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 27, 2025) – Louisville’s favorite storyteller and tour guide, David Dominé, is unveiling three new public walking tours for the 2025 season, giving visitors even more ways to experience the city’s rich history, architecture, and haunted lore. Known for his bestselling true-crime memoir A Dark Room in Glitter Ball City and for leading immersive walking tours since 2004, Dominé is expanding his lineup with new experiences in NuLu, downtown Louisville, and Old Louisville. Tours run from March through November, with select offerings available in the off-season.

New Tour Lineup:

NuLu Sites and Bites Walking Tour – Discover the eclectic East Market District while tasting your way through some of the city’s favorite local spots, including Biscuit Belly, Parlour Pizza, and Muth’s Candies. This three-hour tour highlights NuLu’s vibrant culinary and arts scene, along with its deep immigrant and minority history. ($129 per person, Friday–Sunday at 11 a.m., limited to 12 guests.)

Old Louisville Paranormal Photography Tour – Capture the eerie beauty of “America’s Most Haunted Neighborhood” on this nighttime photography tour led by local photographer Jamie Lavinia Trie. The adventure begins with a drink at Buck’s Restaurant before heading out to explore the shadows and spirits of Old Louisville. ($49 per person, nightly at 7 p.m., limited to 12 guests.)

Misfits and Mayhem Walking Tour – Step back in time and hear the untold stories of Louisville’s most notorious characters from the city’s early days and Prohibition era. Highlights include stops at Whiskey Row, the Belvedere, and the historic Seelbach Hotel. Tickets include a signature cocktail at The Misfit Lou. ($45 per person, nightly at 7 p.m., limited to 15 guests.)

In addition to these new experiences, Louisville Historic Tours continues to offer its signature Old Louisville Walking Tour, a deep dive into Victorian architecture and local history, as well as the ever-popular Old Louisville Ghost Tour. Specialty tours such as the Glitter Ball City Tour and the Paranormal Buff Supernatural Tour also remain on the lineup.

Keep an eye out for upcoming murder mystery dinners and themed events in partnership with the Louisville Bourbon Inn on South 4th Street.
