Summer Beats: Decade & B-Side Debut in Hip Louisville ‘Hood
Former restaurant team breathes new life into Butchertown building
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 25, 2023) — Earlier this summer the highly anticipated Decade Restaurant opened its doors to the public in the hip Louisville Butchertown neighborhood. As a follow-up, the restaurant team has just added B-Side upstairs, which is a flexible venue and event space serving as a hub for music, art, community outreach and booked events.
The restaurant is led by veterans of the beloved restaurant Decca (which closed in 2022), and the team is reincarnating the spirit and hospitality of Decca with their concept in a new location – a historic 1870s building with a bi-level space.
The menu centers around New American cuisine with Italian and French influences – focusing heavily on seasonality – alongside a thoughtful bar program of craft cocktails, mocktails, wine and beer. The partners of Decade have all been deeply involved in well-known Louisville restaurants including Decca, bar Vetti, Proof on Main, Gralehaus and The Holy Grale.
The name “Decade” was inspired by the owners’ obsession with the importance of time (especially in light of the pandemic), and they wanted a restaurant where guests would be able to seize the moment, be present, and enjoy time with the people they love.
